On Friday, 14 July, during the Police Day celebrations, employees of the Municipal Services and Environmental Protection Department organised an information stand for residents of Ostrołęka.

An open consultation meeting was held that day concerning the planned free provision of rainwater tanks to residents of Ostrołęka under the Polish-Swiss Urban Development Programme. Visitors could complete a consultation form on site and learn more about the planned programme. We would like to remind residents that the consultation is open until 31 July 2026.

An Eco-Advisor and the coordinator of the “Mazowsze without Smog” project were also available to residents. They provided information and distributed leaflets concerning the provisions of the anti-smog resolution, the requirement to replace non-class solid-fuel boilers and their impact on air pollution. Residents could also receive advice and assistance from the Eco-Advisor on obtaining financial support for replacing heating systems, thermal modernisation and improving energy efficiency. Younger visitors could learn through play thanks to large-format educational games and activities.

A consultation and information point for the “Clean Air” Programme was also available during the event. Visitors could obtain information about the programme and the rules for applying for financial support. The new rules of the “Clean Air” Programme, which will come into force on 20 July 2026, were also presented.

The most important changes discussed included:

• shortening the required period of ownership or co-ownership of the property;
• extending the implementation period for projects covered by pre-financing;
• expanding the list of persons authorised to confirm that the works have been completed;
• increasing the level of financial support for thermal modernisation projects.
